Short Description
Waraqah said: "He is the angel Gabriel, keeper of secrets whom Allâh had previously sent to Moses. I wish I were young (and strong enough) and be able to live up to the time when your people will drive you out." The Messenger of Allâh asked: "Will they drive me out?" Waraqah.jpg)
When the Divine revelation was sent to the Messenger of Allâh [peace be upon him], (his wife) Khadîjah [may Allâh be pleased with her] accompanied him to her paternal cousin, Waraqah ibn Nawfal ibn Asad ibn ‘Abd-Al-‘Uzza, who, during the pre-Islamic period, became a Christian and used to write the scriptures with Hebrew letters.
He wrote from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allâh wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadîjah [may Allâh be pleased with her] said to Waraqah: "Listen to the story of the son of your brother, O my cousin!" Waraqah asked: "O son of my brother! What have you seen?" The Messenger of Allâh [peace be upon him] described to him what he had seen.

I wish I were young (and strong enough) and be able to live up to the time when your people will drive you out." The Messenger of Allâh [peace be upon him] asked: "Will they drive me out?" Waraqah replied: “Yes.” He added: "Anyone who came with something similar to what you have brought was treated with hostility and, if I remained alive till the day when you will be driven out, then I would support you strongly."[1]
