Test: everyone should be tested, Allah says: (Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while Allah has not yet made evident those of you who fight in His cause and made evident those who are steadfast), and (And We will surely test you until We make evident those who strive among you [for the cause of Allah ] and the patient, and We will test your affairs.), and ([He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving), and (Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried?- But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars.), and (Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said,"When is the help of Allah ?" Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near.)
Types of trials:
1- Test of following the commands of Allah and doing worships and avoiding haram.
- Praying
- Fasting
- Zakat
- Haj
- Qiyam
- Charity
2- Test by good things ad test by bad things
3- Test may be with good things, or bad things; for testing by good things, Allah says: (and We test you by evil and by good by way of trial, to Us you must return)
Tests and trials are many;
- You may be tested by jihad
- You may be tested by giving you something or favors that Allah will see how will you deal with this favor
- - He may give you money, knowledge, power
- You may be tested by taking something or favors from you, like wealth, sons, eye, and thus you should be patient. Allah says: (And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient,)
- The most difficult test is the test by souls, khaled ibn Al-Waled said to the king of the Persians: I came to you with men love death exactly as you love life. The prophet says: (the hardest of people in being tested are the prophets, then the best among the believers)
The test of Abraham
- He was thrown into the fire
- He was ordered to leave his wife and newborn in the desert without food or water
- He was ordered to slaughter his son
The test of the prophet Muhammad
- All his life is a test
- Losing his father, mother, and grandfather
- Losing his wife khadija
- Losing his sons

- Immigration and losing his home and city
The test of companions:
- Test of immigration
- Test of those who are tortured (Bilal, Khabab)

The response of the believers to the test of Allah
- Patient or thanksgiving
- Patience in bad things
- Thanks in good things
- Satisfaction: to be satisfied with what Allah chose for you, this is a high degree.
When the people have a trial or test, they have two options;
1- Remain steadfast, so they will find the help of Allah near
2- To decline and fail in the test, so Allah will replace them with other people to help this Islam. Allah says: (And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people; then they will not be the likes of you.)
3- Characters of those people that will be brought by Allah (O you who have believed, whoever of you should revert from his religion - Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers; they strive in the cause of Allah and do not fear the blame of a critic. That is the favor of Allah ; He bestows it upon whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.)
